What we believe about God shapes everything we are and do. Here is a list of our basic beliefs. These are in line with the Evangelical Alliance Statement of faith.
We believe in:
God
One God in three distinct persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; eternal, creator, sustainer, and ruler of all things.
The Bible
Divinely inspired, authoritative, word of God
People
Created male and female in the image of God; great worth and dignity.
Sin
All have fallen short of God’s character and standards through the corruption of sin
Jesus
Son of God, fully God, fully man, born of the Virgin Mary. Lived a sinless life, died a sacrificial death, to bring us eternal life.
The crucifixion and resurrection
Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose again in bodily resurrection. Victory over death and the powers of darkness
The Holy Spirit
Dwelling in every Christian as the sign of their inclusion in God’s family; empowering them to live in obedience; giving gifts for the blessing of the church
The church
God’s community on earth fulfilling Christ’s commission; sharing life together through worship, fellowship, discipleship, and service
Christ’s return
Jesus is coming back! Judge the living and the dead; new heavens and new earth. Followers of Jesus in life will dwell with Him forever; rejectors of Jesus will be separated from Him forever.
